Bristol parish priest buys iconic Bristol landmark ‘THE EYE’

The Bristol Property Group set up by Redfield Parish Priest Father Gregory Grant, has just finalized a deal to purchase the defunct but iconic building in Temple Quay ‘The EYE’

The PG group which donates the major part of its profits to charity has in the past specialized in re developing buildings in less favorable areas of Bristol The Bristol EYE which has been standing empty for the last 18th months following completion after the original developer castle more when into receivership, is part of the £200 million pound redevelopment of the Temple Quay area.

The PG Group has started the process of fitting out the EYE as flats which was the original developers intention and will market them from the summer of 2012.

There will be 72 apartments with starting prices from £85,000

Spokes person for the group Mr Gaiger said “We are confident that there is a demand for top quality, city centre accommodation. This deal is something of a departure for us but we couldn’t be more thrilled”

Kevin Cox founder of Bristol letting agents igloolets said “This area of the city is still being developed and offers great scope for investors, as the area transforms itself it is becoming a very popular area to live, with it being close enough to both the train and bus stations and within easy walking distance of the main shopping complex Cabot Circus and Broadmead, it is a quite backwater with great potential”
