Bristol to get SUPER FAST BROADBAND in most homes by 2012

Bristol homes will get access to Super Fast Broadband speeds by the end of 2012. Major investment is taking place in Bristol's broadband network, to vacilitate these new speeds.

With the much anticipated new insurgence in media companies coming to Bristol, along with the New Enterprise Zone proposals moving forward, super fast broadband speeds are essential.

Companies coming to the new enterprise zone being set up around the Temple Meads area will have access to some of the fastest speeds in the country.

By the end of 2011 it is hoped that nearly 60,000 homes and businesses will have access to the new spees, and this will increase to over 100,000 when upgrades are completed.

Speaking at a Broadband conference in Bristol, Bill Murphy BT's UK director for next generation access said "The new jobs we are announcing will hep us to support and create the digital infrastructure the South West need for the jobs of tommorrow.

Increasing, Broadband access is more and more important to prospective tenants, the younger the tenant the more reliant they are on having access to broadband.
