Student rents exceed £100 per week as costs rise

Students will pay in excess of £100 per week in rent this autumn, as the cost of accomodation continues to rise, according to recent research by accommodationforstudents.com.

The average weekly student rent now stands at £67.11 up 3 percent on last year.

Those hoping to keep housing costs down should go north to Middlesbrough, where weekly rent will set students back only £43.68

However, students heading to London will be hit the hardest, as the average weekly rent in the capital for this year is £108.03

Landlords with property to rent in Bristol could find that targeting student tenants boosts their rental income.
