Students choose to stay put after graduating

After graduating from university instead of moving back home or moving on, an increasing amount of graduates are choosing to stay in the city.

With two large universities, Bristol has many employments opportunities after graduation

An increasing number of businesses are choosing to opt out of setting up in London because of the cost, and many graduates are of a like mind, and choosing to stay in an area they are familiar with.

As Bristol expands and develops and with the new enterprise zone about to seek outline planning approval.

Bristol is fast becoming a place to be, especially for those in media and technology Speaking to telegraph.co.uk of the trend, property expert Rupert Oliver explained: "It is well documented that many ex-Bristol students remain in the city and make their working life here."

The totals may well see a fall in coming years, however, with changes to higher education seeing a fall in University uptake around the UK. Guardian.co.uk reported that towns such as Nottingham, Swansea and Portsmouth could even see their student population dwindle by 40 per cent "in the next ten years."
