The University of Bristol to expand Student numbers.

Due to the deregulation of student numbers at Universities, announced by the Coalition Government,

The Vice chancellor at Bristol University said “The senior team and faculty colleagues have been considering the University’s response to the deregulation of undergraduate student numbers. The proposed deregulation means that universities will no longer have a cap on undergraduate student numbers for those students who achieve AAB and above this will cover a large proportion (over 80%) of our undergraduate intake at Bristol”

He further added “In practical terms this is likely to mean that we will plan to admit across the University an additional 600 home students for 2012/13 entry.

” Kevin Cox of Bristol letting agents Igloolets.com said “While this is in real terms only small numbers, the faculty of law and the university engineering departments have a fantastic reputation. The opportunity to study at Bristol University is still a sought after prize by many students, and is great news for Landlords and agents such as myself”
